Oral Surgeon J. Enrique Tabarini, DDS, MS
Dr. J. Enrique Tabarini is a graduate of The Latin American University of Science and Technology, Costa Rica. He continued his education at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and later earned his MS (Master of Science degree) During his residency, he was elected to the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholar and his final year of training he served as Chief Resident.
Additionally, he continued his training by completing a Fellowship in Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Children’s Hospital in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where he treated children with cleft lip and palate as well as other craniofacial deformities.
He collaborates with several non-profit medical organizations that reach out to Latin American children affected by craniofacial deformities. These organizations also assist their families, addressing the medical, financial, psychosocial, emotional, and educational concerns related to their craniofacial conditions. He continues to travel to Latin America to work with and operate on these children.
Dr. Tabarini is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association, the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
