Meet The Staff
Our surgical assistants are all well trained, CPR certified and certified through the State of Texas in anesthesia and sedation monitoring. Some of the duties of the surgical assistants include gathering patient health information, taking x-rays, chair-side assisting, assisting with the anesthetized patient, giving pre-operative and post-operative instructions, and maintaining a sterile environment in the safety and comfort of our wonderful patients.
Susana, Practice Manager/ Surgical Assistant
Susana is an RDA, she started her dental career in 2004 as a general dental assistant but soon developed a passion for Oral Surgery. In addition to being a Registered Dental Assistant, she continues to learn and keep up with the latest certifications and technology. Having completed her DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination) in 2015, she is now a Certified Anesthesia Assistant with additional certifications in CPR and nitrous. Susana attends several oral surgery and implant meetings each year so that she may provide the best service to the best of her ability. Spending time with family and friends is what Susana enjoys the most. During her free time, she really enjoys to do outdoor activities, especially when it’s sunny and warm.
Alejandra, Surgical Assistant
Alejandra Herranz is a native from Santiago, Chile. She is Register Dental Assistant, Certified Radiology, nitrous and CPR. Aside from being a wonderful assistant, Alejandra is also a Massage Therapist and a Chef (yum!). Her favorite past time is spending time in her garden but most of all she loves spending time with her family.
Patricia, Patient Coordinator/Insurance Coordinator Supervisor
Patricia Vasquez was born in El Salvador and raised in Houston. She has been in the dental field for over 16 years; she has experience with general dentistry, Oral Surgery, accounting and with insurance. Patricia is ICD-10 and CPR certified. She is a mother of 3 and loves to spend time with her beautiful family.
Jennifer, Surgical Assistant
Jennifer is a native Texan. She graduated from Texas School of Business and has been a part of the Shadow Creek Oral and Facial Surgery family since November of 2014. Since becoming a Registered Dental Assistant, she continues to expand her knowledge and is now certified in CPR, nitrous, radiology and in anesthesia—after completion of her DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination).What she loves most about the practice is that everyone that works at Shadow Creek is one big family and everybody gets along. Above all, she loves to help her patients.
Ashley, Surgical Assistant
Ashley graduated from Everest College earning her diploma in Dental Assisting. She has since obtained her RDA, and is now certified in CPR and Nitrous. Ashley always knows how to brighten up a room with her inviting smile. In her free time, she loves shopping and helping others. Ashley enjoys spending time with family, especially with her daughter Ava.
